Hello,
They may have an API for that, I would look into the API Programmers reference manual (or)
look into the Program Status Data Structure, or maybe use the RPG callable IBM supplied QCMDEXC that you pass an AS400 command to.

In CL I can retreive the job type using the TYPE paramater
on the RTVJOBA command. Is there a way of doing this in
RPG? I do not see anything in the system data structure.
Is calling a CL to do this the easiest way?
