Try this. Check your communication entries for the QCMN subsystem. Specifially look at the first *ALL *ANY entry with default user of *SYS. (This would be the comm entry used for SNADS for example). Display Communications Entries System: WHORYOU Subsystem description: QCMN Status: ACTIVE Job Default Max Device Mode Description Library User Active *ALL *ANY *USRPRF *SYS *NOMAX *ALL QCASERVR *USRPRF *NONE *NOMAX *ALL QPCSUPP *USRPRF *SYS *NOMAX *ALL QSOCCT *USRPRF QUSER *NOMAX Default User - Help The name of the default user profile used for evoke requests that enter the subsystem through this entry and contain no security information. Possible values are: o *NONE: Security information must be entered. Requests without security information will be rejected. o *SYS: All user evoke requests require security information. A default user profile will be used for IBM-defined transaction programs. Neil Palmer DPS Data Processing Services Canada Ltd. Or more likely, what needs to be configured? The target machines I tried have valid configs / routes for SNADS and IP. QSYSOPR contained connection failure msgs w/ a code of 715,0. I believe that those are also security related. I saw no place to put in a user ID / password. QUSER is enabled on both machines. The sending user's profile exists on both machines. I tried using those commands and I got an SNA sense code back saying that it wasn't sending the user ID and password. The SNA format is FH7. This is on V3R2. Any ideas?
