We used Lansa for the Web to enable a customer who wanted to provide customer 
inquiry via the
internet.  They also market another product called Lansa Client that allows 
drill down access to
your data.  This product works over TCP/IP as well as other protocols.

I am a reseller for Lansa, but just getting started at that.  If you want more 
info, I'll put you in
touch with my rep.

As far as I can remember, Lansa has got some promotion where they'll actually 
write a simple
application for you for $5000.
