Hi, Wayne: I think I read somewhere that DB2 Connect must be able to connect to the PC by name. Make sure that the PC's IP address is represented in the AS/400 host table. Also, when you ping the AS/400, make sure that the CORRECT IP address is returned to you. Look at the output carefully to make sure that the returned address is what it should be. The fact that ping responds to a by-name request, does not mean that you've actually pinged the right system.
