Rob,
It is a fast job that runs. So I ran it in batch and used the SAVOBJ
you suggested. Keep getting 'no data saved.' Do you think it has to do
trying to read QTEMP library?

Before the job ends, save the file(s) into a save file using
the SAVOBJ command. Afterwards you can use the RSTOBJ command
to restore them. If you want to, you can use the optional
RSTLIB parameter on the RSTOBJ command to stick them into a
different library.

Subject: temporary files

Hello,
How do you capture data from a temporary file. What I'm trying to
look at is a file that is created in QTEMP and deleted when the process is
complete. The process is a HLL financial program which runs payments fine
but I'd like to see the data that is created in this temporary file. In all
there are three files iastl089, iastl090 and iastl091. The TL meaning a
temporary logical.
Thanks in advance,
Art
