We use the telnet exit programs which we downloaded from the IBM techstudio web site. You can find them at http://www.as400.ibm.com/tstudio/tech_ref/tcp/telex/telexdwn.htm The exit programs offer much more security since you have the option of accepting or rejecting sessions based on the originating ip address. Of course, if thats not a need, you can just allow *.*.*.* and the whole world can connect. Another function allows you to log information on each telnet session which attempts to attach to your server. You can also assign a device name to each session in place of the generic qpadevxxxx names ibm uses. We implemented the programs "as is" and are very happy with the results! HTH...
