The March issue of News/400 has an article and programs to use with SNTP (Simplr
Network Time Protocol). I have implemented the client code on my systems but
have not implemented the server (I'm having a problem with it that I have yet to
resolve). However, it works as advertised and you can connect via the Internet
an external SNTP time server. You can download the code from News/400's site.

Thanks to David for pointing this one out. I'm a very happy camper...

Subject: Time synchronization

Is anyone aware of an automated method of synchronizing the AS/400 time with an
official time clock for regulatory purposes?

Explanation: NASD requires us to provide accurate time stamps on security
orders when received, when executed, etc. At present, the operator calls the
time service, manually sets the time, and so.......

Any suggestions would be appreciated...
