You're right that for this client the NT on IPCS is not on. The client is way too big for that. Can Oracle run on the native AS/400 side? I know it would be better to use the DB2 database but that's not the way the vendor's product is written. The customer loves her AS/400, and this particular vendor has a good chance of being selected. Yes, in theory, this can be done. But if it is a large customer, NT (400 or no) will choke on scaling for the Oracle server. Could be just the usual ploy. Put it up. It runs so bad.
