I've been tasked to look into the possiblility of having an RPG/CL Program trigger e-mail messages. Robert We have Lotus Notes on our network, I was able to sent these messages, plus files attached from QDLS, out using a "Forwarding" address in Lotus Notes (you don't waste a valuable license). The TCPIP SMTP ( CHGSMTPA) on the 400 looked at the Network address of the Lotus notes server. This was on V3R7M0, we have updated the Machine to V4R3M0, but this still works. I created Directory Entries pointing to our Lotus Notes server, put these DIRE on a distribution list. Then I use the either the Distb. list or Dire, on the SNDDST command in RPGLE to send messages and files. I use the RPGLE to create a type of file that a spread sheet program can convert. Also QSNADS must be started and the TCPIP SMTP Server. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
