John, You do need the LPP 5769XD1 for client access on the AS/400. The LPP 5769XW1 is required to use the 5250 emulation product. I am not sure what the 5769XK1 is needed for if anything. What you do *not* need to operate is the QCA400 directory in the IFS, and the folders QIWS* in the QDLS file system. These folders contain the client code used to download and update your PC.
