Before I became a programmer (some people might say the use of the past
tense is a little premature), I spent 13 years in a job where I had to drive
a fork lift quite often. There are a lot of things you can do with a fork
lift that take a surprising amount of intelligence and coordination. It's
not surprising that many people can't learn to drive one well. I only got
to moderately skilled, myself.

The above is my personal opinion and is not intended to represent good
programming practice or the product of a sound mind.

ROFL!! The last time my office was located in the plant, had one of those on

an _EXTREMELY_ quiet electric model while most of our forklifts were of the
noisy, gas powered variety. The guy _finally_ got canned after he
accumulated nearly $100K worth of damaged material -- the fact that he had
almost _KILLED_ me twenty times over the previous two years had no impact on

his employment record...

Regards!
