Nina,

        If the circuit is up, stick a PC with ProCom or something on it and
capture the whole mess to a File, then go look at see what is in it.  Will
also be a good test file if you write your own code.  Also, a GOOD data
scope/tool is a product called Serial TEst from "Frontline Test Equipment,
Inc." in VA. (fte.com).
