I've just started to experiment with Net.Data.

I've tried to follow the instructions in "How to Get Net.Data up and
Running" on the Net.Data website.

I created a library called CGIBIN and copied DB2WWW from QHTTPSVR
into it (v4r3).

I added map and exec statements referring to the CGIBIN library to
the HTTP server configuration file. Get and Post are enabled.

I set up a Net.Data ini file in CGIBIN based on the sample shown on
the web site. I'm pretty sure the path strings are spelled correctly.

*PUBLIC has *USE authority to CGIBIN and another directory I created
for macros. Just for good measure, user QTMHHTP1 has the same authorities.

I created a macro file in CGIBIN called WEBMACRO with a member called
TESTMACRO that contains a hello world macro from the tech studio
training course.

When I used the substitution path strings in my URL trying to invoke
my macro I got an error 403 (not authorized.) Hoping that it was a
typo in one of the configuration files, I tried a fully qualified
path as follows:

\\computername\qsys.lib\cgibin.lib\db2www.pgm\qsys.lib\cgibin.lib\webm
acro.file\testmacro.mbr\HelloWorld

Got same result. *PUBLIC has *USE authority to all of the objects in
the URL above.

I'm doing something simple, stupid, and wrong--right?

programming practice or the product of a sound mind.
