Maybe, maybe not.  It's possible that it's a "duh" IBM move.  Keep in mind
that there are many at IBM who would like to have the dirty laundry swept
under the rug as much as possible.

For example, after Soundoff in San Fran, Walt Ling privately made the
comment to me that you "could have called me" on one particular point.
While this is true (AS4D is very gracious, and accepts my calls even when
unpleasant topics arise), it would lack the effect of hitting 'em upside
the head to spur common sense (which is sometimes lacking).
