Most independant consultants do not own ANY AS/400-box. So a D04 is fine. Having a number of different customers (the more different the better) is the best method of keeping current for most. E.g. I have never REALLY coded ILE, though I have an V4R2 ILE RPG for AS/400 running. I use much time just to read all subjects of the mails in this list. Thanks for mentioning date data types. Now I know that there is also something like that on my machine. Btw Rob - why do you quote ALL those MIDRANGE-L signatures? ---------- > Fra: Rob Berendt <rob@dekko.com> > Til: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Emne: RE: Number of installed AS/400s > Dato: 17. maj 1999 15:35 > > I am kinda curious. Are you supporting a standard package that doesn't use new OS or > language function, or, do you do a lot of custom work? Otherwise are you the consultant > the other person mentioned that wanted to know what a date data type was? I am not meaning > this as a flame personally. It must be expensive to be a consultant if you really want > to stay up to date. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
