Alexey, Do you know anything about IVR's (Interactive Voice Response). The SNA code referenced 1003000 is one we get when using an IVR attached to an AS/400 emulating 3277 devices. We have 48 configured devices on the AS400 for the IVR with the last 22 varying on, varying off and active with no apparent reason at any given time. The IVR is also attached remotely to a box running os/2. Message says - "function is not supported". It means that some function was requested in session, but remote partner could not support this. Now let's think what function may have been requested. Suppose it is 5250 pasthrough. Why it was not supported by a target system ? AS/400 does support this SNA function, so some resource was not available or activated. In AS/400 case it can be, for example, that there's no subsystem with applicable communication entries active, or there's no virtual device to associate with remote 5250 session. For me the code description is clear enough and gives a good indication where to look for a problem. The function may have been specified by a formatted request code, a field in an RU, or a control character". 0000 No Specific code applies. My question is this. Why did the developers of SNA even bother coding for this error. It seems like a 10030000 is a generic "we can't really tell what the heck is wrong, but it's not working so we'll spit out this error". Sorry to be of no greater assistance.
