Hello Dave, et al, The authority is stored differently according to different object types. The architected method for fetching the public authority is the MATAU instruction which is exposed via the QSYRUSRA API DSPOBJD shows the information returned by the MATSOBJ instruction (and some other stuff). It is interesting that the MATSOBJ instruction will return authorization list information but not public authority. Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > Date: Tue, 11 May 99 10:21:50 +0100 > From: david.kahn@gb.abb.com > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: *PUBLIC authority - Where to find it? > > > > John Earl <johnearl@toolnet.com> wrote: > > >Hmmmmm...
