Framing the certificates and hanging them on your office wall may impress
someone that you really -do- know what you're talking about.  Maybe they'll
even ask your opinion about matters computational.  (:

Of course, I've been impressing folks with the "Certificates of Attainment"
on my office wall.  No one has looked at them very closely.  They came from
Publisher's Clearing House; I've Attained the status of "Contestant" in
their giveaways.
