On the controller desc, there is a parm for dial initiation, for SDLC lines
the default is *LINKTYPE which will initiate the dial only when the system
sees an SNA request for the remote location (like STRPASTHR or SNADS),
Change this parameter for *IMMED and the controller will attach to the first
line in the switched line list and dial immediately when you vary the
controller *ON.
