Indsendt af hkrebs@hkrebs.dk message: OK - It seems as if there is the MI-solution - and also of cause the not-release-independency-guaranteed method: WRKJOB OUTPUT(*PRINT) OPTION(*PGMSTK) and then process the spoolfile. But to introduce a new sub-thread and to promote an much underused facility: As I understand the need to know the library is to put up a library-list for using a specific application package or a specific utility. But how do you start this app/utility? If you use a command why not use the IBM-intended way to solve this: 'Product lib'? If you do NOT use a command, then why not write one. The default for CRTCMD is 'Product library PRDLIB(*NOCHG)' but you can give a libraryname on both CRTCMD and CHGCMD. It works like this: When the command is evoked the library is put into the *LIBL between the system- and the (current lib +) user-part. If your application/utility-command in turn calls another command with another PRDLIB, then the previous product-library is replaced by the new productlib but returned back as soon as the 'another command' is finished. Magic? Well, it's simple and it works.
