The system will permanently decompress a compressed object after it has been 
used often enough 
for the system to get tired of temporarily decompressing it.  I don't know what 
that magic 
number is but once it is reached the object is permanently decompressed.

So my view is compress any supported object you like (even QSYS objects).  The 
system will 
eventually decompress all the required objects for daily running.  You will of 
course notice a 
performance problem until the system determines what objects should remain 
decompressed.  As 
long as you understand this then compression is a useful tool.  It may be 
enough to save some 
DASD space until the next budget period when the IBM recommended solution can 
be implemented.
