Thanks - I wasn't aware of that.

I find no place to change the configuration of my (US-created - MS) mail
client, so I'll try to remember to do this manually. Experimenting: As a
matter of fact *any* first word if followed by a colon is ignored in the
subject-sorted list. Guess that this is not an error but a 'multi-lingual
feature'.
