I agree, the older IBM keyboards are great! Not because they lack the silly "Windows" keys, but because of their solid feel. Over the years, I've purchased several IBM PC's for home. My current machine came with the new style 104 key keyboard. I did give it a chance (twice) since I thought there might be some ergonomic benefit to the softer keys. But it's just not the same. I make fewer errors on the old style keyboard and my fingers don't get sore. Also, when the keytops get too dirty, just pop them off and clean them in the sink. (Granted, some people do have a use for those extra keys. But the last version of Windows I used at home was 3.0.) > >Unfortunately, I have to deal with these keys at work. Sigh. A couple of months ago we were given new "ergonomic" chairs here at work. Like many others, I was more comfortable in my old chair. Alas, we had no choice. But I still have my old keyboard here. I won't give that up as easily! Cheers!
