David;

        My view of the IPCS description and function are based on need
and availability. Use it if you need to run a Windows based application
that is available. But, don't forget about the tools and utilities
needed to acquire, install, configure, implement, maintain and back-up.
The AS/400 OS can help with a few of the issues, but reality is most of
the functions will have to take place on the Microsoft operating system.
My knowledge of both OS's tells me that both are quite useful in there
own right and both can be horribly abused.

        I have authored a set of ActiveX objects that I've used to
'glue' this stuff together and are available now for free. If you wish
