I am afraid to ask... When did the first shipments of System/3, Model 6 go out the door? February of 1971 is what my memory tells me, but then, my memory tells me lots of things. I think it included a course in RPG programming called a "PID"? It was programmed instruction. Once the course was completed it was expected that a person could write programs for tasks like mailing labels and simple reports.
