  • Subject: Notes versus Netstations

We've been discovering some strangeness using IBM Network Stations browser to
access Notes. I opened up a problem number with IBM: 56575,500. I copied
the following from my problem record:

Details: Using NC Navigator, the Notes Inbox is corrupted(display).
But messages gets opened and displayed correctly.
No problem when using IE 4.0, or Netscape Communicator
              4.5.
.
Action Plan: Find necessary resources to recreate error.
------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: Consulted Team leader, found APAR SA79215.
5648C05BR is ported from Netscape 3.04 (AIX), and does not
have the features to support accessing Lotus Notes.
.
This is a permanent restriction of 3.x browsers. NC Navigator
is very similar to Netscape 3.04 for AIX.
.
.
ACTION PLAN: Update customer on findings.
