We know of this possibility.
But it's a hospital production system and we must struggle
to reduce the down times to the absolute minimum.
Every minute we can leave the system productive can save
much ("offline mode") trouble to our docs and nurses...

We cannot afford DSKBAL at all with the V4R3 version
and look forward to V4R4.

BTW: Adding disks to this particular system is no problem.
     Its a SAP R/3 system and this software uses GIGs of
     temporary storage for its living... So during up time
     we see perfectly balanced disks, % used as well as % busy.
