I added a disk or two once (way before DSKBAL) and used this 'manual
method':

1. Fill up the new disk with one big multimember PF initializing all
members with a number of dummyrecords (so that they will really fill the
new space)

2. Remove the members VERY slowly (only a little faster than you need the
space)

3. If possibly do the 'remove' just after a backup. then restore this
backup immediately on the 'not-very-unballanced' system. Alternatively do
a RGZPFM if you can allocate the files long enough.

This worked fine, giving a normal good ballanced WRKDSKSTS, although it
looked as if QSYS-objects (which I didn't restore) tended to stay on the
'old' disks.
