I can't seem to locate any information on "text assist", but I do remember hearing of such a feature... I think we had problems using OV400 at a remote location because the remote controller had to be upgraded to support this workstation management feature. But for the life of me I can't recall what they called this feature. I even seem to recall seeing an article (many years ago) in one of the magazines about using this feature. It's possible I'm remembering something S36 related......... Anyone remember this stuff any better than I? eric.delong@pmsi-services.com ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: Using BACKSPACE as a function key? But, my first guess is that once in use, you'll have to handle -every- keystroke. eric.delong@pmsi-services.com wrote: > > This needs to work with non-programable workstations...... > > ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ > Subject: Re: Using BACKSPACE as a function key? > Author: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > at INET_WACO > Date: 4/8/99 1:30 PM > > Depending on which emulator you are using (assuming you are using a terminal > emulator on a PC) you should be able to map the backspace key to ANY key you > > desire. > CJG > Carl Galgano > EDI Consulting Services, Inc. > 540 Powder Springs Street > Suite C19 > Marietta, GA 30064 > 770-422-2995 > mailto: cgalgano@ediconsulting.com > http://www.ediconsulting.com > EDI, Communications and AS400 Technical Consulting > > -----Original Message----- > From: eric.delong@pmsi-services.com <eric.delong@pmsi-services.com> > To: midrange-l@midrange.com <midrange-l@midrange.com> > Date: Thursday, April 08, 1999 12:47 PM > Subject: Using BACKSPACE as a function key? > > > > > I need to know if it's possible to make the backspace key behave > > like a CF or CA key.
