Two new variables on SBMJOB: The answer is Java, IFS and all that. ENVVAR: Go to a DOS-prompt and type SET. This gives you an idea of what Environment variables are. To create a java program for instance you need an ENVVAR calles CLASSPATH. The AS/400 parallel of SET CLASSPATH='xxxxxx' is ADDENVVAR. MLTTHD: It has something to do with parallel processing (normally most traditional 'JOB's can only do one thing at a time, thus they have to remain idle when they for example ask for a page that is not in memory. 'Clever' compilers can optimize a program so that a little more can be done before you really need the page asked for. I still have to learn however what the practical use of this is.
