You don't have to "know" the effects of gravity. You are reminded of it every time you take a step, drop an object, or lift your arm. You DO have to "know" the cycle, with its invisible processing, to use it properly. The interesting thing about this whole conversation is that, at least for me, it is really moot. I haven't designed or coded a report or interactive function in years that would yield a remotely understandable cycle program. Perhaps a couple of purge programs could have been written using the cycle, but why bother when I have good shells using "DO" and "IF" logic? Donald R.
