You may need to create a new DDS on the AS/400 that matches the PC file.
Then use

        CPYF   YOURFILE   PCFILE  MBROPT(*REPLACE) FMTOPT(*MAP)

CPYF should be able to handle the change in field length as long as the
field names are the same, and as long as you don't swap alpha and numeric
fields, and as long as you don't fiddle with the number of decimals in
numeric fields.
