In order to do this correctly, you will need to take a full backup of your system (not a savstg), then set the date to what you want it to be. Then do an IPL. Go about doing your testing. When finished do a scratch install (IPL from the "D" side). When you have your operating system reloaded then take option 21 from the restore menu. IBM has a really cool Y2K website up there for the AS/400.
