Use telnet.  It's not bad coming from a 400 to a 400.  In fact you can't tell - 
EXCEPT that you do a SIGNOFF ENDCNN(*YES) versus ENDPASTHR.

Subject:        SNADS over TCP/IP?

We have two AS400s connected VIA T1 and TCP/IP.  Is it possible to be on a
dumb terminal at one location and passthru to the other with that TCP/IP
connection.  There is no existing SNADS connection between the two boxes.
