Hello Graziano!

1. Just follow the book. It has been no problem to us.
2. Be sure to install not only the current cum, but also the
   database group PTF and other group PTFs which are important to you.
3. If you have the Service Director be sure that he can still
   send messages to IBM service. It seems that upgrading this
   thing is not easy. We had problems with disk failures not
   automatically reported after upgrades.

A system admin's life is a sorry one.  The only advantage he has
over Emergency Room doctors is that malpractice suits are rare.
On the other hand, ER doctors never have to deal with patients
installing new versions of their own innards!
