Hi, Pat: The word "funny" can be taken a few ways. You mean "odd," I'm sure, but I find it amusing and not odd. As far as Linux being dead (or even renamed---news to me!), that's one of those rumors that is scattered about by those who don't know, or those who hope that the rumor will cause iitself to become true. Linux is alive and well, and living in millions of desktops around the world. Unless I misremember, there are more Linux installations (mostly in a support role in small departments of corporations - performing functions like routing, firewalling, etc) than there are of Windows. If not more, then it's a close match, but I don't remember the numbers. I've been running it for about five years now, and I swear by it. Sometimes I swear *at* it, but then I find *MY* mistake, and swear *by* it again. :^) MS knows about the concept and power of anything offered free. Look at what happened with IE vs. Netscape, if you don't think so. It's hard to beat down free software; particularly when it's so much better than its competition.
