Since this portion of the thread started with my post regarding why I'm not using RPGIV, I believe I need to clarify something here. When a program that we have modified fails, the vendor will *still* support a problem with that program, if we can show that the problem is unrelated to the mod patch(es) we have put in the program. Therefore, it would be very unwise for us to run the programs through a converter to RPGIV, because then the vendor would refuse to provide any support whatsoever to any of the programs we have converted. Also, keep in mind that before any of us can write in RPGIV, *all* of us need to know enough about RPGIV in order to support it, since any of us may need to support a program someone else has written. So we as a shop must roll in RPGIV as an accepted standard, and right now we just don't have the time. Believe me, I wish we did, because I would love to be able to write in RPGIV.
