The only reason to permanently apply PTF's is to reduce disk usage. You can
upgrade with PTF's in any state. They will all just disappear.
Make sure you have a good backup before you start. Good luck.

recently applied all our PTF's perm and just to make sure I went and
looked. A WHOLE bunch of temp PTFs!! Service Director maybe?

ramifications
of attempting to upgrade tonight with all these temp PTFs?
