The only reason to permanently apply PTF's is to reduce disk usage. You can upgrade with PTF's in any state. They will all just disappear. Make sure you have a good backup before you start. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Roger Boucher [SMTP:RBoucher@stanpac.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 1999 10:46 AM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: Upgrade... help!! We are planning on upgrading our from V4R1 to V4R3 tonight. We VERY recently applied all our PTF's perm and just to make sure I went and looked. A WHOLE bunch of temp PTFs!! Service Director maybe? Someone ordering PTF's I don't know about? Anyway, what are the ramifications of attempting to upgrade tonight with all these temp PTFs? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
