I like SNADS as much as anyone but I would definetly rule out SNADS for this
transmission.
This would create a copy on the sending, and receiving, system.
For an example do the following:
SNDNETF on a file of some size
WRKDSTQ and see it there.
Delete the physical file using DLTF.
WRKDSTQ and see it still there until it is done sending.

This data's gotta be sucking up some disk somewhere. This is why the SNDNETF
command takes so long just to queue up
the data on a sizable file. Let's call the time between the enter key and the
input inhibited light going off the queue time.

Try SAVRSTOBJ if there's SNA connectivity between the systems.

I've got a customer with a 2+GB file on the AS/400. They are trying to
transfer the file to another AS/400 on the network. SNADS appears to
reject the request due to size limitations. FTP 'hangs' after a long
time. The target AS/400 is brand new with lots of DASD and version v4+.
Any ideas or suggestions?
