>> What is the maximum RPG/400 program size? This cannot be simply quantified. It can occur for a number of reasons. >> Is this dependant upon the number of files used in the program That is one possible factor but only indirectly - the number of fields is likely to be more of a problem. >> or the number of executable lines of code? Another possibility as is the number of literals. JDE constantly have problems with this themselves as they add function to the system. I keep hoping that they will see the light and convert to RPG IV, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Many of the middle tier vendors are making the switch - perhaps the "big boys" will be persuaded when they start to lose business ? Converting to RPG IV (CVTRPGSRC) is probably the best way to go - it should not suffer the size problems. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
