The remote site will probably be using a PC with Windows 95 or 98. we use the ibm 8235 remote access server, which was discontinued last summer. however, it was made by shiva, so we are now installing the shiva product, the shiva lanrover e/plus. it is a really reliable unit, that attaches to your lan, and allows dial up access. it's not terribly expensive, about $1600 for the unit, and $200 per modem (V.90's). the modems are internal, so there aren't any plugs and cords. a really neat solution. shiva also has cheaper units, that use the traditional external modems. nj
