  • Subject: PC dial up connection to AS400

We have a remote site that now requires dial up access to our AS400e for a
couple of hours each day (for simple 5250 green screen and printing).

What would be the simplest method to link them up (and what additional
hardware/software would be required) ?

Just a few points :-
1. The AS400e is at v4r2
2. It has 3 spare communications ports.
2. It is connected via TCP/IP to a Novell 4.11 network (that doesn't have
a modem
       attached!).
3. We currently use Client Access v3r1m3.
4. The remote site will probably be using a PC with Windows 95 or 98.

Thanks in advance...

Stephen Hunt
