Take a look at the '#pragma mapinc' section of the ILE/C reference
manual. Also in the ILE/C Programmers Guide manual there is a whole
chapter on accessing data files from within ilE/C

These links should help you get going;

#pragma mapinc is @ :-
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com:80/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QBJAQY01/1.8.12

Accessing files chapters are @ :-
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com:80/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QBJAQX01/2.3
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com:80/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QBJAQX01/2.4

Also examples (and question/answers) can be found on the News/400 AS/400
C/C++ forum in my signature block...
