There are a number of ways to connect a PC to the As/400 but we will 
need to know a little more information:

1. What model As/400 ..... dspsysval qmodel
2. What sort of communications you have on 400 & what modem  *****
3. What version of Os/400    ... wrklicpgm  VxRx    *******
4. What is your PC running   OS/2, W/95 , W/98 etc,etc  *****
5. Do you have any PC's attached to 400 now ?
6. Do you have an Ethernet adapter ?

If you can answer the above, I'm pretty sure you will get many
different ways to do what you want...
