"Partitioning" on the AS/400 is a different concept than it is on the PC. On current versions of the OS, the closest thing to a "Partition" you can get is to have multiple ASP's. This will physically divide you disk units into groups. In the next version of OS400 there will be "Logical Partitioning" of the system, where you can actually divide up the system into logical machines. You need a multi-processor system in order to do this though. Perhaps you could explain a bit more about what you are trying to do. david +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
