Denis,

We have a program that someone here wrote using Visual Basic that extracts data
from one table in one file. It's hardcoded but we'll send you the code if you
want.
We call the program from a DOS batch file. The DOS batch file is executed on
the PC from the 400 using the command RUNRMTCMD, via the TCP option. We do use
Client Access to upload the file just because we like the mapping of that.
Anyways the whole shooting match is executed from the 400. When the developer
here emails me the objects you'll need I'll forward them on to you.

Subject: Data exchange between MS Access & AS/400

Hello all,

Here is the situation: We have a production system written in MS access
(include raw material receiving, comsumption ...). This data base is on an NT
sever. I need to transfer (about 3 times a day) from the access data base to
the AS/400 the raw material receiving and comsumption transactions and from the
AS/400 to the access data base the new orders.

Since i dont know access very much, i need help on how to exchage information
between the 2 platform. I tought i could simply FTP files between the 2 systems
but it seems that all the access tables are contained in a single files.

If anyone can give me some hints as to how to do this or as where i can get
more info, i would apreciate it very much.

Thank you
