I wouldn't buy that. IBM knows what program products you have, and even if they didn't, a look at the WRKLICPGM display would tell them. AFAIK, you can still skip a release, so V4R1 to V4R3 should not be a problem. Read the upgrade manual. It tells you in excruciating detail what you can and cannot do.
