> How does everyone feel about IBM's Currency Access Fee? My company is > looking at the three year software subscription because our IBM business > partner says that the fee will increase in the future. Is this a safe bet? > Which business partner has the cheapest software subscription? the currency access fee only applies if you are on version 4, and didn't sign up for the software subscription within a month. it's an 18 month catch up fee you pay to join later. since you are on v3, it wouldn't apply to you. for the software subscription, it's usually ordered when you order the machine. i believe the 3 year fee for a small 170 is $1330 or something like that. you may be able to get $100-200 or so off. do you have a business partner you are currently using? ask them! nj
