Eric How strange, exactly the same day you sent this message we had the same bug, with the same conditions ( CA 313 ), SEQUEL included ... Now for me it's solved, I spoke to IBM and found the proper person to coach me. If you still need it, here is the info. For general information you have the APAR # II09493, available on www.as400.ibm.com/clientaccess/ The bug comes only on the client ( PC ) because of mix of network services. As a result, reg file is corrupted and one or two CA tasks won't start when rebooting. You can check them on your active file list: CWBBS - 'byte string' for folder connection and drive mapping CWBNPRED - 'net print redirector' If CWBBS is active, you can access folders from your Windows explorer and map drives on them. If only CWBNPRED is active, you can only see the printers. The roadmap to fix all problems was : 1 - unistall last CA service pack 2 - reboot 3 - unistall CA 4 - reboot 5 - check with REGEDIT if you have following registry entries: in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE check if you have the folder IBM If yes, delete it. in HKEY_CURRENT_USER SOFTWARE check if you have the folder IBM If yes, delete it. 6 - reboot 7 - reinstall CA CWBBS and CWBNPRED were started during the reboot and all came to normal.
