I can't check 'cos I'm on the road but you should be able to use TEST for
this.

e.g.  *MDY         Test(E)               USADate
                   If        Not %Error
    * Date is OK
                   Else
    * Date is bad/outside range
                   EndIf

and if it doesn't work ...... well it should

Of course you can always test it "by hand" i.e     If (Date <
D'01/01/1940') or (Date > D'12/31/2039')
